Indonesian Candidate Host World Cup

Only the infrastructure needs Rp 8-10 T

Jakarta - To achieve dreams can become host the World Cup in 2022, little money is not needed. For infrastructure alone, the Chairman of PSSI General Nurdin Halid need to estimate Rp 8-10 billion.
Indonesian need many things to be ready for the World Cup. In addition to the stadium so prasarat main, other infrastructure such as roads, means of transport, accommodation, etc..
To be able to build all these facilities, it is clear that funds need not less. Nurdin but mentions that the money spent will not be futile because the investment will be.
"Expenditure for the World Cup will be the investment for this nation. Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) is used to the forest, after the stadium, is now moving in the economy there," Nurdin said on the sidelines of the event launch of bidding in the Hotel Ritz Carlton, Jakarta SCBD , on Monday (9/2/2009).
"For the infrastructure just needs Rp 8-10 billion. This is not the cost of loss, but will be the added value," Nurdin row.


For infrastructure development, Nurdin mention it will be financed by the Government and the private sector. While for penyelengaraan, FIFA will bear the costs.
"As long as the government have the will and ability to infrastructure development. We will build the stadium-friendly environment. Infrastructure that will have added value," he said.
Nurdin also explain that PSSI will do to lobby the Executive Committee (Exco) FIFA. In addition, the PSSI will also attempt to lobbying Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as the last one only want this country as the only candidate from Asia.
"AFC President (Mohammed bin Hammam) will be to Indonesia on February 22 next. Meanwhile FIFA President will be here also on the third sunday or late March. We will also use the site-PSSI Indonesia to introduce football to around 56 countries," Nurdin demolished.
In addition to Indonesia, a number of countries have expressed interest for the 2022 World Cup. Apart from Australia and Qatar, peminat a number of other countries such as UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Japan and South Korea already has hosted the World Cup.
